Got a little burnt up on the annual Good Friday outing and I really didn't mind. After a wake-up call and chain of swear words I jumped up and prepared for the day. Halfway to the water I remembered the sunglasses sitting in my car at home.
More mumbled swearing...
Ahh. Breathe. Relax.
One cast after this picture was taken and the first cast of the day my Rainbow Runner swung through the green depths of the pool in front of me. A sudden yank-YANK and I lost the fish, my fly and damn near dropped the rod in the water.
Good Friday? I asked myself. The first cast curse. Things looked bad. I hiked on.
I was happy to have my borrowed shades as the sun was bright by 9 am. Noticing that my feet were still dry I was thankful for the borrowed waders.
It took some walking and a lot of casting but finally another fish decided to smash the "Olive Wrapper" She was angry and not afraid to show it!
A little later on the new rod, Phish...
Fish and Fly
Recharge and Release
It turned out to be an excellent day with many fish caught, some laughs, sunburn, and NO WORK!
