How you can help:
As those who came to the original Spey Nation can attest, Spey Nation is put together and facilitated by a small number of dedicated volunteers. Yes, that's right, we are an all volunteer force and all profits after covering our costs are donated to on going conservation efforts. Over the past 2 years, we have heard from many of you who want to help. I can tell you that we are very appreciative of that but just want it to be an enjoyable day, not a work day for everyone involved. However, if you still feel that you want to pitch in, there are a few ways to help us out.
1: Tables and chairs: While we had enough tables last year, we have added a few companies this year and I don't think we can have enough folding tables for raffle prizes, food, and to have our partners display their products. If you have a table, and are going to be in the area from start to finish, please bring a table. Make sure you have your name on it somewhere for identification.
2: Raffle Prizes: Are you a shop? Do you make something connected to Spey Fishing? Do you have a product or service that you think would appeal to the Spey Fishing Community? Spey Nation is free to everyone and is completely funded by sponsor donations to raffles. All profits will be donated to the Fish Creek Atlantic Salmon Club who is trying to establish a viable, natural reproducing run of Landlocked Salmon in Fish Creek, which runs into Oneida Lake north of Syracuse, NY. If you would like to donate something to Spey Nation, either email me at info@theanglersnet.com or just bring it to the event and drop it off at the raffle table.
3. Get the word out!: Tell your Friends, Family, Neighbors, and your Neighbors Friends and Family that this is going to be the most anticipated and well attended spey clave east of the Mississippi River! We can't put this on without you so please, talk it up!
Spey Nation is only what you put in to it! If you have any suggestions on how to make Spey Nation II even better, please email me at info@theanglersnet.com. |
