Description: Dloop and I hit the Slammin on Tuesday. I had the free trip I gave to the Spey Nation Raffles last summer to do on Wednesday so I wanted to do a bit of scouting. We found super low water, even for the amount they were running out of the dam, clear runs and pools, lots of people and some shell shocked steelhead.
18 degrees on a day that never hit the mid forties...damn weatherman said fifties...we still had the sunshine though. Could have used some sleet, freezing rain, clouds whatever. These crystal skies kill the fishing.
Dave was first out of the gate with an olive tube of his own design. The brown couldn't control himself.
He followed that number up with paydirt. Fiesty chrome for breakfast...Yah!
